Name: Hazel Rose
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Height: 5’3
Weight: 105 lb
Race: Usagi-mimi (
Netherland Dwarf Rabbit)
Pain Tolerance: Rather high
Abilities: Hazel has the abilities and tendencies of a rabbit but unlike some others since she isn’t a Moon Rabbit she isn’t powered by the but the nature around her, plants and the sun can give her some magical ability to help ease pain and soothe a wound enough to speed up the healing process.
Interests/Hobbies: Hazel has a quite a few interests when she’s not working as a school nurse, or helping out at the home as one for that matter. She enjoys felting, drawing and sometimes gets a little adventurous with her writing. She also likes taking long walks in the nearby park as she enjoys the quiet in the evening and the fresh air always seems to brighten her up!
Personality:
Hazel can be very nurturing and loving when around the kids she works with and she always takes her job very seriously. She tries her best to make sure they’re comfortable while at the same time she can have a rather stern side to her if she finds the kids are skipping out on their medicine or even breakfast!
When not working, she will try her best to find a chance to not have to talk much. Talking all day she’s rather spend some time in the quiet where she can have a few moments to herself. Hazel is rather introverted and many may find that there are time that she simply needs a night in to recharge her batteries, this is nothing against the people around her…she just needs a moment to breathe.
She often finds herself in the shadow of others thanks to her quiet nature, thanks to this she will never really feel the need to stand out from the crowd, she personally finds her work to be enough of a chance for her to feel important to someone, and it turns out to be many kids…even when the job sometimes just requires her to put a cute bandaid on the wound and tell them it’ll get all better!
Despite her introverted nature, she does also enjoy spending time with people her age, after all introverted doesn’t mean she wishes to spend 100% of her time alone since she hates feeling too lonely! She will gladly chitchat with the other adults and is quite the rambler when her favourite subject comes up!
Appearance:
Hazel has a very gentle appearance; she has long hair that reaches down half her back that is the lightest brown along with a pair of pointed pretty rabbit ears of the same fur color. Of course to match she has a pretty bunny tail that may wiggle when she gets excited! She has a pair of bright crystal-blue eyes that are a deep enough color that brings out her pale skin especially in the sunlight!
Her fashion sense can be rather simple, when not wearing her uniform at work, but she very often refuses to wear pants! She’d far prefer to wear a long skirt and tights than have to wear them, this may make things a little chilly in the winters but she has far since adapted to the cold and thermal tights go a long way.
She wears cute shirts, mostly with cute animals on them or just generally any cutesy images of characters she could find! They’re often pretty colourful but of course made to match the skirt she’s wearing at the time. She doesn’t really wear jewellery other than necklaces since the second she comes to work she has to remove them anyway.
Though hidden, she also unfortunately has scars on her back from the punishments she received as a child; these are permanent and will never disappear and she is rather self-conscious about them. She would never wear anything that would reveal the marks.
History:
Hazel was one of the many orphans who were placed into slavery after the attack on the small countryside villages in the west. At the time it was before the anti-slavery laws came in to protect mimis and other races from such treatment. Until she was 7 she spent her life working for highly rich people who wanted a creature they saw as lower than themselves to do all the unwanted work. Of course, physical abuse of slaves was a common occurrence at the time meaning even at such a young age dropping a dish meant at least ten whippings to keep them in order.
Luckily, Hazel was saved by the enforcement of a new law after the new government finally managed to get themselves in the seat of power, this law ended slavery of all races no matter how “inferior” and made it illegal to kidnap innocents for this purpose. This of course allowed Hazel to be freed from her chains before she lost her entire life to being someone else’s servant but the scars still left her with psychological wounds, with help she was able to recover and given a chance to live in La Lune, where she would no longer have to worry about the soldiers kidnapping her again.
Life of freedom was a difficult yet wonderful concept, she was finally allowed to go to school and to do the things she wanted to do. She could play like a child and eat three meals a day…and the best part is no physical abuse for messing up. Being grounded was a far better punishment then what she was forced to take what seemed like just a moment ago. She grew into her own person and after graduating school with excelled results she began to study medicine as she wanted to thank the people who took care of her.
By the time she finished, the school nurse has retired and there was a job opening at the academy for a new nurse, someone who could take care of kids and teenagers alike which she was fulling willing to do, after watching kids enter from all kinds of backgrounds she wanted to give back what they gave her which was a chance to make these children’s lives as normal and happy as she could.
So she applied and after a nerve-wreaking interview she managed to land herself the job as one of the school nurses that works during the day, and has enjoyed every second of her career choice even with the downsides.
Misc:
-As a rabbit, she doesn’t eat meat or handle it too well.
-She isn’t a Moon Rabbit, she is more of an Earth Rabbit…her power tends to lie in plants and forests more than luna power.
Main House Job: School Nurse
Relationships:
Emiko Ishida
She has met her on occasion in the main house, they’re not exactly close but she does know who she is and does think fondly of her.
Yuno Katamara
Yuno is a nurse's aid, meaning that she does work with Hazel on occasion and has taught her basic things such as first-aid and how to deal with wounds before Hazel herself makes it there. She also brings Hazel students when they need to see the nurse in case they faint on the way to the room. Hazel thinks highly of her aids meaning Yuno is on friendly terms with her.
