Persona 5: Playland (Private with theJozza)

“Urrrghhh…” Ren said, rubbing the back of his head, “I think I blacked out for a second… is there some sort of weird noise outside?”

Eeb slowly became acutely aware of the padding he was now wearing…

“You’re joking,” Ren said, his face forming a scowl, albeit a somewhat collected one, “Might as well have me carry around a sandwich sign saying ‘bully me!’. I didn’t even know they made them this thick, I thought the average depend was like… discrete. These look like baby diapers.”

"Allow me to be concerned with that," Kaiko replies, before effortlessly picking him off the table and standing him on his feet. "Now then, I have a long list of rules that you will be following while under my care. As long as you comply, you will find greater privileges and freedom, however violations will be met with consequences," She raises her hand and nods at his rear to remind him of her earlier action. "To put it more simply, if you act as the adult you claim to be I shall treat you as such, but misbehave like a child and you will be disciplined as such."

"Makes sense, in an entirely nonsensical way," Ren said, wobbling a bit while he straightened his glasses again, "How do you expect me to walk in these? Or, well, cover them up, even. I doubt my pants can accommodate the... err... bulk."

Ren was no stranger to annoying rules, so they shouldn't be a problem, at least if it was what he was used to. Curfews, cleaning, etc. Maybe, just maybe, the embarrassing crap would end here. He could only hope.

"I have already adjusted your uniform," Kaiko replies, clearly annoyed by his sarcasm, but seeming to accept it since he seems to be cooperating. "Now then, rule 1: You are never to be without your protection," she pauses to gesture at his exposed diaper. "I acknowledge your situation is unfortunate and embarrassing, but I will not have you making unsanitary messes out of your stubbornness. Rule 2, you are not to go anywhere without me as an escort or without my knowledge. I have already engineered your class schedule to ensure this, but you are not to go anywhere even on campus without me, though this rule may be lightened if you prove yourself trustworthy."

"Not just a school-sponsored babysitter..." Ren thought aloud, "But some kind of school-sponsored nanny to keep me from 'trouble'. How does this even happen? Something has to be up..."

Ren didn't see a point in escaping. Typically that wasn't his first response. If something was going on, the best course of action was to simply make sure it was stopped, or at least straightened out. Even if that meant a bit of embarrassment.

"So, is that all?"

"Those are the primary rules," Kaiko replies. "Above all I expect you to listen to everything I say and follow my commands without question. After all, while intend to keep you in line I also plan to make sure that you thrive here." She gives a small smile to this and turns to the dresser where where pulls out a pair of uniform pants, however as she brings them closer it becomes clear that they're about a size above what he would normally wear. "These should conceal your diaper and will be easier to remove when you require a change."

"Well, that is certainly something," Ren said, tucking them beneath one arm, and holding out the other, "Pardon my behavior from earlier. What I said is true, but I had no business acting the way I did."

Deception would be key, if he was going to make any progress. If he played along now, fixing everything would be easier later (right?).

"Though, I do have to ask," He started, "How did you become qualified for this position? Surely good grades wouldn't be everything to look after a student that the school incorrectly believes has such massive problems."

"Very good," Kaiko nods at his statement and apology, though she clearly isn't fully bought into it with all the sarcasm still dripping from it. "To answer your question I have a long history of turning around difficult students. Moreover, my mother runs one of the most popular daycare centers in this city so I also have a wealth of experience caring for those of...lower maturity."

"Well, those are all kind things, no matter how snidely you put it," Ren said, "It means you have a heart, and that's really something. I've met enough people bereft of those."

She didn't seem to be anything less than normal. No, it was the circumstance that put every piece into place. His situation had been invaded, not the hearts or souls of others, in a rare twist. It only got trickier.

"Well nice to see your being more respectful and obedient now," Kaiko nods, before walking over to her side of the room. "Now I have some work to do," she turns and holds out a stack of papers to him. "Here's a copy of your schedule for the semester and some other forms and information sheets I need you to look over and fill out. Once you're finished, we can go and get lunch." Kaiko hands him the papers and sits down at her desk, while making sure to glance at him occasionally as she works. After all, she'd dealt with enough problem students to be appropriately suspicious of them being compliant too quickly, and while he did seem sincere in his acceptance she naturally had to be sure.
